South Swedish based Safeaero is one the major producers of deicers in Europe. The company prides itself on providing airports, airlines and ground support the most efficient deicing vehicle capable of operating in the worst possible winter weather.

Safeaero's customers include Amsterdam Schiphol and Helsinki airports, KLM and Northport. Extremely accurate chemical mix
One of the unique benefits of Safearo's deicers is their ability to use a precise mixing process. Controlled by the TraffiCom computer, the deicer mixes fluids to an accuracy of plus minus one percent. The mixture can reduce glycol content to 3%, saving costs and reducing environmental damage.

Ergonomics enable one-person operation
Safeaero was the first company to produce one person operated deicers. Using TraffiCom an operator can control all functions through a touch screen, adjusting everything using large dials, while being able to keep a careful eye on the work in progress and all functions in the cab simultaneously.

TraffiCom uses a Windows operative system. This enables Safeaero to add specific software really easily. As an example, the system controls and surveys all components, making it very easy for service personnel to immediately see if a component malfunctions.

Order driven deicing
TraffiCom adds the advantage of coordinating everything that the operator and ground staff need. The system sends a task list via TraffiCom, which computes the most efficient fluid mixture according to the type of plane to be deiced and the outside temperature and conditions. A confirmation of work done is then sent back to the main computer hold. TraffiCom then receives the next work order while the deicer moves between planes, so the operator can start the job directly, optimizing deicing time and minimizing hold -ups.
